My kids haven't watched TV for the past 4 days. They were being sassy, demanding, non-compliant hoolagans for a while now. Plus, the TV usage got out-of-control over school break. It is amazing, they don't even miss it. dd#2 asks everyday to watch, but doesn't give me grief when I say it is in a timeout.
I didn't realize how much I have relied on the TV for an electronic babysitter because I haven't gotten anything done except more time with my kids.
They must both want to watch it badly or else very tired because tonight I bribed them to stay in their rooms all night and the TV would get out of timeout. I haven't heard a peep which never happens!
