  • Not a child but still my baby!

We got home from work last night and the poor pup had gotten in to something! His entire muzzle was swollen! He looked like he had the mumps. He acted fine, but I did make Rick leave the bar where we had met up with all of his co-workers so we could go home and check on him.

He survived and is much less puffy this morning.

I don't know how you guys do it with 'real' kids!

Jenn, I completely understand!! I am an avid animal lover and currently we are "between" pets. But with kids, they cry and you can get an idea of what ails them. With pets it is just sad eyes, some whimpering and you have to guess at what is bothering them. I am particular to dogs and have had my share of wonderful stories, but also have had some heartbreakers. Pets are very much a huge part of a family.
