  • Push Present

I think that's what its called now days. What did you get as a gift from your spouse after the birth of your child or children? I need ideas. Less than $200 hopefully.

I didn't really think of them as push presents, but I got a pair of diamond earrings ( the three stone kind-sometimes I think people use them to represent the past, present, and future) for my first baby. I got a pair of sapphire earrings ( her birthstone) to celebrate the birth of my last baby. For the middle kids, all I got was another baby. 8)

Mine wasn't less than $200, but it was a combined push/anniversary/Christmas present, and it's a diamond fleur de lis necklace. Hubby said he hopes I'll pass it down to E someday.

For Mother's Day I got a pendant with E's birthstone to add to my necklace (I have the June birthstone for the baby we lost): http://www.jamesavery.com/product/Co...240/156280.uts

So you have two of those you put on the necklace? I wanted something with birthstones for both girls but I wasn't sure the best way to go about it.

I also like the idea of birthstone earnings! She'll be born in July. That is ruby, correct?

I got a baby. The first time I got a baby boy. The second time, I got a girl. Oh, Chad also managed to get me hospital cafeteria lasagna very quickly after I had Alexia, AND, I also got to get my PICC line out. Super sweet.

I tell you what I didn't get the second time - my yummy hospital ice chips Although DH should have gotten a present after H's delivery! Jewelry is a nice way to commemorate the event. I like those stamped charms with the kids' first initials.

I got a quilt for my middle kid. I was happy with the babies. And all three kids were born during med school. We had no money. I was happy we had cars and a house. Haha!

I got a pair of Louboutin shoes for first. Still waiting for second. DH claims he wasn't technically pushed.

                      Push Present

                      I didn't get anything, either.
At the same time, I didn't expect anything.

I did, however, receive a floor length organic bamboo woven bathrobe for my first mother's day gift, and I love it.

                          I just asked DH where my push present was;

"What is that? I assume it has to do with birthing a child?"

                          I explain

"Oh. You don't get one. You get the love and satisfaction of birthing a child. Or whatever"

And then he went back to his game

Yes - one chain, two pendants. And yes, I think ruby is correct.
