  • Packing meals

I posted a while back about finger foods for kids, and since then I've gotten a pretty decent system down with E's meals. I got these containers from easylunchboxes.com, and they've been working really well for us! They're not technically leakproof, but I haven't had any problems with her overnight oats so far, though I do mostly keep them upright. I mostly send the same thing each day, though I try to vary it up a bit..

For breakfast, I fill the big part up with fruit (her favorite), the second up with her overnight oats, and the third with cheerios.

For lunch, I send a pouch of fruit/veggie puree, cheese, and raisins in the big part, pasta with veggies and meat of some sort in the second (I've done veggie pasta with Italian seasoning, pesto pasta with some steamed veggies, and mac n cheese with pureed cauliflower, with diced ham or deli turkey), and a carb of some sort in the third (goldfish, puffs, rice cakes).

I'm always up for any other recipes or ideas too, if you have any. My kid is a bottomless pit, and she's still super tiny!
