Any good ideas for the summer? We already love or plan to try the following:

    1. Bubbles!!! I think we might also purchase the bubble lawn mower. For $15, my best friend says her daughter goes CRAZY over it!

    2. The community pool. I don't know how she'll react, but it sounds like fun, and she loved it last year.

    3. Kings Dominion--haven't been there yet, but apparently there are toddler rides for as little as 1.5-2 years old. Anybody done this?

    4. Library story time and library time in general. Enough said!

    5. Petting zoo. Are these safe after all? Who knows!

    6. The park, of course! We have free concerts in ours.

Would love to hear other ideas for 1-2 year olds!

We will do everything already mentioned so far. Here are some others...

Sidewalk chalk -- a complete party

    Sprinkler/home wading pool

gardening (aka -- digging in dirt with shovel and bucket)

    riding tricycle

playing with a pinwheel on a breezy day

"Treasure Bag" -- basically buy or decorate a small bag with handles. Go for a walk and find "treasures." It's totally up to the toddler what he/she puts in the treasure bag. (pine cones, flower petals, bark, etc.)

A lot of those would work for a 4 year old, too!

I don't know why, but an old bed sheet and flash lights can provide entertainment for most kids for hours.
