I only have a few hairs left to pull out

I am losing my mind! My DS is so good, and then all of a sudden he just snaps and goes nuts. He throws fits, tells me I am a bad mommy and screams. He sits in timeout and does all of this and then all of a sudden it just shuts off as quickly as it came on. I have taken away everything. I have nothing left to take away, yet he continues to act this way. Sometimes he does it in public which is humiliating. It is like he can't get a hold of his emotions, and it escalates. He tells me the bad things just come in his head!

What can I do to tame him? I am about to lose it...and oh yes, DH has been on night float for the last month, and completely unavailable.

I think I have posted this twice a year for the past five years, but here goes again.

Four year olds suck. They are old enough to throw fits, manipulate, and drive you crazy, BUT they are not old enough to reason with YET.

Along the lines of what Luanne said, by 4 they have some good staying power. You just have to have more endurance. Hang in there! It will pass.

I swear by all that is sacred, the stages are worth it. My girls are really phenomenal young women.
