I HATE secrets so I'll post here- my next door neighbors got the call! They're doing a domestic adoption and got the call Saturday from a birth mother- and then she went into labor last night (not supposed to happen for another two weeks) and they're on their way.
The birth mother had two requests- that the parents be Texan and that they be Democrats! Crack me up- those two factors bumped my neighbors right to the top of the list! The terms aren't necessarily mutually exclusive but certainly harder to find than say, "East Coast Democrat" or Hollywood Democrat!
Anyway, they have nothing- and I mean nothing- in terms of getting ready for this baby. If all goes well they'll take custody on Wednesday and then because it's out of state, the legal proceedings can take up to two weeks.
I'm so excited but I can't tell anyone until the baby is in their hands.
