Has anyone tried this program? I am considering buying the phonics and spelling program for our 2nd grader. She has always struggled in reading. She was in the Read Strong program in kinder and first. She got to her benchmarks but it didn't really seem to help her much. She qualified for the program again but she did not want to do it so we worked on her reading at home. She was doing great until her last DIBELS test (a week ago). She was just below where she should be at this point in the school year. She feels bad because on her report card she received straight 3's, as high as you can get (stupid rubrics!). Anyway, I just don't feel like the Read Strong program at the school has really helped her so I am looking into other options. One good note is that her comprehension is wonderful, almost double what is expected, she just reads VERY slowly. I would like to really get her on track this summer so she can start 3rd grade ahead of the curve.
