I had a piece of glass cut for our dining room table. A friend is loaning a table that she received from her grandparents and doesn't have room for. I wanted to use it without worrying about damaging it. I can't remember how much the glass cost but it was worth it. The downside is that it is awkward to remove and I can't adjust the table size. I really like your solution, Crystal!
