  • Pizza sauce

I love the pizza at Old Chicago. I'm trying to come close to that at home - I know I never will because I don't have an oven hot enough, but I try.

I have not found a crust recipe variation that I like yet, however, I like this pizza sauce:

1 28 oz. can of whole tomatoes - DRAINED
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 tsp dried basil
    1 tsp dried oregano
salt to taste - I use a lot but you don't have to- maybe 3/4 tsp.

Blend in blender a short time - there should be some small pieces of tomato left.
