            My brussel sprouts, basmatti rice, salad w/EVO,lemon juice, sumac& cumin dressing, Arabic style "meat loaf" w/ broiled tomato wedges. Desert Arabic pastries.

                      Kids are having a sleepover so they're eating crap. Sleepovers are really the only time they get to do that, so they're stoked.

                        Llapingachos, sarmale, cozonac, and whatever the other people are making. I hear it's some kind of chicken with pomegranate seeds. Sounds intriguing.

                                It was! There was a ton of Persian food, too. The chicken I was talking about was cooked in a pomegranate and walnut sauce, and it appears to be a special occasion dish in Iran. We ended up not eating the cozonac because there was just too much food. We joked that it would have to wait until next week, but this might seriously have to turn into a regular thing.
