I FINALLY read this book. I've been meaning to for a long time since I'm a fan of the movies. The style reminded me a bit of Tom Clancy.
The book was intense and there were LOTS of details. Now that I read the book, I like what they did with the movie even more. They had to cut SO MUCH and still made a great movie.
I will read one more in the series before I stop but "Identity" gets luke warm reviews from me. It might be just me though -- I didn't really EMBRACE the HP series until I was 50 pages into the second book.
One thing that bugged me about this book is the "Marie" character. I was excited to learn more about her -- her background etc, but I like her MUCH better in the movie. She's too mushy for me in the book using words like "darling" and "my love" -- GAG GAG GAG. Who talks like that? But again I might be in the minority here.
I'm checking out the next book from the library in a week or so.
