  • Prisoner of Birth- Jeffrey Archer

The blockbuster novel, and specifically authors like Sheldon, Follet, Archer, and most recently Dan Brown, are my first love in reading. I loooooove this type of novel and typically have enjoyed everything by Jeffrey Archer. Notably, Archer's previous novel "False Impression" was a page turner.

It is hard for me to say this, but Archer's most recent novel, A Prisoner of Birth, just didn't totally turn me on and make me want to stay up all night to the thrilling finish. It was a good, not great, legal drama with a predictable plot of an underdog taking on members of high society engaged in nefarious activities. This mixed review feels somewhat like a betrayal, but it just wasn't his best.
