But, yet again- there are parts that are laugh out loud funny. The premise for this book is that there are lots of upstanding members of society who are actively violating at least one of the 7 Deadly Sins, and thoroughly enjoying themselves.
So, Dan Savage (of the Savage Love column in many newspapers plus several other books) decides to commit each one of the seven and find others who do too.
For example, for "lust" he goes to a Swingers convention (doesn't swing himself) but interviews the people who do.
I really enjoyed it but again, if you have issues with some of the "less traditional" aspects of American Life- you probably won't likeit. But if you like to think- and enjoy a good laugh along the way, I'd recommend it highly.
