I picked this up at the library and so far this has been a wildly interesting read. It seems as if the issue of gender differences is so politicized because any information illustrating a potential diffference can be skewed to furhter agendas. Even seemingly innocous findings, i.e. women are more prone to knee injuries, can be twisted to suit an agenda. Still there is no arguing that both physiologically, emotionaly, and culturally there are some slight differences between the genders.
The author talks about a wide range of differences between boys and girls AS GROUPS and offers parents suggestions. Even if you have achieved some success at unbiased and nonspecific gender parenting, it is a good read to understand your children's peers and understand cultural biases in the classroom.
Very interesting.
