This was a really interesting book about the men who created the Oxford Dictionary of the English Language- the greatest dictionary of all time. It might sound boring but, i didn't realized until reading this book, that before this was published, there really was NO comprehensive dictionary.
The personalities of the people who took on this daunting task are incredibly interesting as well. The author makes a point of reminding us that this was Victorian England and that most of the women who worked on the dictionary received no credit.
Trust me, it's not a dry read.
