What a BLAST of a book. It's a story of an African woman who opens her own dectective agency in her village. It's a great read, and although it's not a mystery in the traditional sense, seeing how she 'solves' her cases is great. It also examines some of the cultural differences between white and black Africans, and also Africans and American/Europeans- but not in a preachy way.
I thought it was great and I read the whole thing in about a day. (a travel day, but still!)
There are some more in the series that I plan to try to find.
