Has anyone else read any books by James Patterson? He is an enormously popular writer who came highly recommended. I just finished "First to Die".
Honesty dictates that I give it a mixed review. The storyline clipped along at a fast past and kept me very engaged. Essentially, the book is about four women, a journalist, an investigator, an assistant D.A., and a medical examiner, who collaberate together in an attempt to catch a serial killer in San Francisco. I must say that although the plot was interesting and fast, the characters had very little depth and I felt like I was reading a screen play of dialogue rather than a novel. Because of this, it was an easy read, a "no brainer" type of book perfect for times when you are seeking some light reading.
