Yesterday afternoon, we (ok really I) took the plunge and left Daegan with a sitter and went to the movies!
Besides the crappy theater experience (lights left on, credits cut off, crappy bathrooms), the movie was enjoyable.
I was a little confused at many parts, but in the end I figured it all (mostly) out. It started right into the story...much like how the last one ended in the middle. So if you can watch Dead Man's Chest beforehand it might be helpful...we read a recap online before we went.
I think it fit well with the other two. The story has similar twists and Jack's "luckiness/skill" and some funny parts (that at least got me to laugh out loud).
I've heard that there is another scene after the credits....much like in the other two movies, but we didn't get to see it b/c the theater cut it off. Grr...
Anyway, I'd recommend the movie if you liked the other two!
