I could have sworn somebody had already reviewed this but I couldn't find it...
Anyhow, I watched this the other night and recommend it if you don't mind being in a melancholic mood afterwards. The story takes place in the late 60's or early 70's with a family of 5 daughters being raised by a very conservative mother and a father that mostly goes along with whatever the mother's wishes. The youngest daughter (13) attempts suicide in the very first scene, and from there the movie follows the family's attempt to function in the aftermath that follows. Kirsten Dunst plays a rebellious daughter and the mother is played by Kathleen Turner.
