Saints and Soldiers

This is an indepentant film (won tons of movie festival 'best picture' awards all over the country). I just watched it a few days ago and LOVED it. It was very sad and I ended up SOBBING at the end, but it is probably one of the best 'war' movies I have seen. It is based on some actual events in WWII and centers around some american troops that were behind enemy lines with information that could really help the allies, so instead of just laying low to survive until the surrender, they tried to make their way back to the allied forces. It really gets into the characters (as opposed to just a blood and guts war movie), and makes you REALLY wanting them all to make it back.
