I always thought that song would be great used in a Hemorrhoid commercial! :> ...I'm so bad :run:
    You're a riot!

Our wedding photographer kept telling us about a couple that used "Ring of Fire" for their wedding song. She was not endorsing it but didn't know that Dr. K is a big Johnny Cash fan. He was liking the idea until I reminded him that the song was written by June Carter during her affair with Johnny Cash and is about her fears of Hellfire and damnation. :P

Crash into me and pretty much anything on their Crash CD transports me to our freshman year in the dorms.

          Very funny!

It actually reminds me of my maternal grandfather who was a Cash fan and a die hard cowboy (he had the horses and everything). I miss him and my grandmother too.

            LOVE that song.

We credit "Crash" - Dave Matthews for getting us back together. "These Are Days" - 10,000 Maniacs was on the video montage at our wedding and I teared up to it this week singing it to Mattie. "Slide" - Goo Goo Dolls was all over the radio for our whole wedding weekend, so always takes us there.

DH says Stevie Ray Vaughn's "Pride & Joy" is his song for me.

We have a few songs....For the wedding 1st song: Stevie Wonder's Ribbon in the Sky and the night ended with Prince's Purple Rain. Really we both love anything Prince and had a radio show together in college and played all Prince all the time (he has that many albums)!

                *BUMP*

Since we have a bunch of new people on the forum. I wanted to ask this same question: what's your song? (and if it's different) What song did you dance to at your wedding?

We have our first "dance lesson" coming up; we were given a few lessons from my Dad for Xmas this past year and we're still debating several songs.

I think our top choice right now is "Could Not Ask For More" by Edwin McCain.

"True Companion" by Mark Cohn, "You" by Bonnie Raitt, "When You Say Nothing At All" by Alison Krauss, as well as "You're the Inspiration" by Chicago *very* early on!

We eloped, so no wedding song for us.

But, our song is: Did You Ever Look So Nice by The Samples. It always transports me back to the beginning of our relationship and DH's uber hippie days.

We danced to "You and Me" by Lifehouse at our wedding. Neither of us had really strong feelings about the matter, and we liked the idea of using something that was released that year.

Well, we have several. Our first "date" was a symphony performance of Carmina Burana, so that soundtrack will always have a special place in our hearts.

For our wedding - "And I love her" by the Beatles.

Ahh, thanks for the reminder...I just listened to it again.

Our song was/is "Its your love" by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

I also really liked "Lost in this Moment" by Big N Rich - it came out right around our wedding time

We also have a few other unofficial songs...

Probably "Roller Coaster of Love" since the Beavis and Butthead movie came out when we were first dating, and we sang that song all the time.

I love The Samples! I'm pretty sure I have the cassette tape and not CD. I'm going to go look for it on iTunes right now.

We were going to dance to "She's no Lady, She's My Wife" at our wedding but I think DH's parents made some remarks about that. I shouldn't have listened to them.
