    Anyone going to watch?

This is the first time ever that dh and I will watch together. We were either long distance or he has had to work!

We're planning to watch - we haven't seen all of the movies, but we've seen a few.

      I always watch. I don't know why ... but I do.

I stopped watcing when I stopped going to movies. It's depressing when you have to say "Oh, yeah! I heard that one was great!" or "I read that she should win!"

Next year, I promise to make an effort to see the movies. (I say this every year now. )

I have only seen Little Miss Sunshine and the German film up for a foreign film award: The Lives of Others.

I usually just watch the red carpet. I don't care who wins as much as what they wear.

I don't like Jada's dress - its a good color, but the shield look on the front is not attractive IMO.

Never watch, I like what I like and you can like what you want.

Jodi Foster looks like she's wearing a wig.

I heard Ellen was going to go glamorous ... not so much! But she's been funny. I liked it when she gave Scorsese (sp?) a screenplay.

It just seems like they keep finding ways to make the darn thing longer! Rather than showing pictures of the costume designers work, they had models modeling everything ... it took FOREVER!

We went to bed at 10 so we missed some of the "big" awards but you're right, its too long.

Urg, I don't remember last time so many people with so much money looked so bad. Really, get some better stylists.

The editor for Departed (which by the way had the worst editing ever), how in the world is that an Oscar outfit? The poor foreign documentary makers look 100 times better and classier.

Meryl Streep, couldn't you keep some of the clothing from Devil Wears Prada? Really, this isn't Sundance in the 70s, it's the Oscars and 2007, the beads should be left at home.

Helen Mirren looked good and so did Nicole Kidman. That's about it.

I agree, Vishenka. No one really wowed me this year.

Why was Jennifer Hudson wearing that little cape/jacket thing?? Who told her that looked good?!

The only ones I liked were Helen Mirren - she looked great and very age-appropriate. And Reese Witherspoon's dress was gorgeous. Her hair and makeup looked great too.
