I posted this in the one thread, but thought I'd repost it for people not following the other thread.
There are now sections availabe in the 'groups' area for medical student spouse, resident spouse and attending spouse support groups.
It is possible to create a support group for your residency program and make it both private and hidden. This means that anyone who logs on to the website can see that there is a group for your program, but can not read any information about the group, see the members or any of the forum posts. Members are admitted into the groups by invitation only.
So...for example, one could start a group for the spouses at their residency program. They could invite only people that they know to join in. No one from the main forums here...no residency program director, no faculty and staff...no one who gets 50 posts or 1000 posts or whatever...could ever access the posts in the forum, photos, etc. The only people with access to the private conversations would be the actual group members.
ETA...this might end up working out more successfully than going by state/area etc. I figure we can just let this play out and see what works out best for everyone.
