  • A hearing aid that goes on your tooth

This technology is coming out of San Antonio. It's for patients that have lost hearing in one ear. They attach a wireless device to your tooth that looks like a retainer. It sends a vibration you can't feel through the hard bone of your teeth and skull to your inner ear and restores the perception of hearing. San Antonio's ear medical group is the first in Texas to fit patients with the device which was cleared by the FDA 3 months ago for people over the age of 18. It's called SoundBite.
