+1. Aside from my DH, I don't feel like I know much about anything. I'm a generalist -- I know a little about lots of things.

That's me! I feel like I know a little about a lot. Back when I was consulting I used to learn just enough about a bunch of different topics to be able to write grants for a variety of organizations. So for one organization I'd learn all about service dogs, and for another I'd learn about energy-saving practices for small restaurants. I once learned all about unmanned aircraft systems for a grant.

I'd say my top few are grant writing, writing in general, and psychology (college major). I probably also know more about gluten-free cooking than your average person.

I'm very happy to be a "generalist", not an expert--keeps things interesting!

Consumer behavior, or at least that's what I pretend like in front of my students.

I guess I just interpreted the question as what holds the most real estate in my brain, not how my amount of knowledge compares to actual experts. I'm definitely not an expert at anything!

Oh, I read it that way too, but my brain is so filled with random, unrelated items, that I couldn't even tell you what's floating around in there.
I'm just trying to make it out alive!

                  - nutrition (I've got reams of studies saved and an outline for a someday-book geared toward health care professionals)

Holy crap, I think that's pretty much it. It's been my hobby for over three years now.

This is how I understood it too. Not necessarily what I think about most though, just what I know the most about. For instance, I think about DrK a lot more than I think about my mother. But I've had 32 more years to get to know her than I've had to get to know all about DrK. And I definitely know more about my mom than, for instance, her sister or my brothers do. But DrK's analyst probably knows more about him than I do.

Wow, this is so interesting. Some of the topics some of you know the most about, are things I know very, very little about!!

-Strangely, animals. Names of breeds, care, grooming, temperament, and training.
-Some around-the-house handiwork: my parents did a lot of remodeling on our childhood home.
-Old and Middle English Lit. So says DH.

                          1) elementary education
                          2) translating old English (a rather useless knowledge since it is already done)
                          3) how to survive and keep smiling during residency (most of the time)
                          4) verbal apraxia and sensory integration disorder (learned fast with DD)
                          5) how to keep hubby humble (he says that is one of the reasons he married me)
