  • Christmas wish list

What are some fantastical things that are on your wish list, but you'll probably never get?

Minions: I would love to have a minion or two to just delegate tasks to. Hell, I'd even pay them

A hairstylist/manicurist/makeup artist: for those times I need to look like I've got my life together. Someone I can call at the last minute.

A horse: DH has seen too many horse-related traumatic injuries. That being said, I still would love to own a horse I guess I'm still 5 inside!

Private jet: I'd like a Dole Whip - I'll just fly down to FL and meet Heidi for lunch. Pizza? Chicago is a super short flight away

GRUs you are too nice to own a private jet. The woman my dad works for once made her pilot cut his Caribbean vacation short because she wanted to leave her trip early.
Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

Oooh, I've been thinking of this since my mini-rant in the splurge thread. Let's see. . .

Spa services, lots of them, every week. Manicures, facials, massages, whatever they've got just bring it on.

Babies. With beautifully decorated nurseries, fully-funded college savings plans, all the cute little clothes that I'd like to buy regardless of the cost, and a big new van to drive them around in.

Housekeeping and date nights at least twice weekly.

A house of our own with 3-4 bedrooms, a playroom, an office, a craft room, laundry room, a big back yard, hardwood floors, fireplaces in the den and master bedroom, and room for entertaining guests.

Oh, I know there's more. I'll post more later.

I guess what I really want is time. More time for pampering, cooking, spending time with my husband and children.

And really - I would like just enough extra income to offset what E provides for the kids so I don't have to depend on him. I'm not asking for a lot, just enough to ensure that we can live modestly and I can build up my savings again.

                Those are all fantastic!

My wish upon a star dreams come true Christmas wish list would include dh doing well on his Steps and getting a residency in the first match we apply to. Quitting my job to move where ever that residency is with him and stay at home. Take a stain glass class, piano lessons, a bead works class, a painting class at a lovely local art gallery, and some gourmet cooking classes at one of these fancy kitchenware places. Owning furniture and decorations we didn't buy off of Craigslist, or Goodwill, or make ourselves, but rather from Pier One or Pottery Barn or some place nice. Spending time making a home and life and getting to decorate for the holidays and have people over because we can finally afford to. Being student loan debt free! Having a nicer car to drive than one that breaks down every month and needs money put into it to maintain it.

My big dream would be a romantic vacation to Paris. I've dreamed about that since the 6th grade. Sometimes to dream fades away and then I'm reminded of it and I can't believe I haven't done it yet. It was always my dream to go with my one true love. Yep, I'm a sap. I'd also like us to take a cruise vacation to the Bahama's together. I love cruise vacations and I want dh to have that marvelous experience too. I could take cruise vacations all over the world but then I'm a natural water baby.

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I'll meet you there.

I want a wife. Particularly one of you organized, good boot-up-the-ass now and then medspousers!

                    Seriously, any takers?

Lol, one of my BFFs used to date another surgical resident (she's a surgical resident too) and we all decided we were going to start a commune so I could be everyone's "wife" and SAHM for all the kids and we'd have a 3-surgeon-income household. They're not together anymore but they both still call me wifey.

                          Almost exactly this.

Weekly massages -- or more frequent!
