If you're at all familiar with Reddit, you may know about their AMA forum (Ask Me Anything) where people will accept any question you throw at them. Celebrities do them often--some of my faves: Ira Glass, Louis CK recently--but otherwise it's people who have interesting jobs or experiences that will let people ask them questions.
Well, the link below is a British man who has been road tripping around the US and visiting different places/having different experiences. It's actually really interesting to hear about his experiences and perceptions. Most interesting to me? He visited a college campus and went to a frat party where he was shocked to find out that Red Solo cups were actually a thing--he thought they were Hollywood props! He couldn't get over the fact that they existed!
Later down, he said he'd bought some to bring home with him:
I bought some to take home - next time I have a house party they're coming out. We can all put on baseball caps and yell "spring break" at each other - it'll be just like the USA!
I just about died at "we can put on baseball caps and yell 'spring break' at each other"...too funny!!
Anyway, it was pretty interesting to hear about the experiences he's had and how he perceives the US and what he's learned about the US (we're not all loudmouthed fatties!
