Please keep him in your thoughts. This is the email I just got from his mother and father. He has been battling leukemia for about 2 months. This came as a surprise and has sicken him very fast. He is like a brother to me.

Had the family conference with the med. team yesterday. Not good news. Joe has gone from no cancer cells in his blood to 40% in two weeks. The transplant doctor was very open, saying ti does not look good. They decided to go ahead with the transplant, as Micah is here to donate. Joe started the "killer" chemo last night, with the transplant scheduled for Tues. Even with the transplant, Joe's survival rate is only 20-35%. The dr. believes that Micah is showing the same pre-leukemic condition that Joe showed in 2003, so please pray for Micah as well. Lift Katy (Joe's wife) up, and Kathy, as this is SO hard on them! Joe commented that if the med. team will dow hat they can, he and God will do the rest. Again, we know that Joe is just as firmly in the Lord's hands as he was prior to our receiving this information. It's just very hard to watch Kathy grieve the possibilities, fearing the loss of a son so young. Thanks for your continued prayers, and to those who walked and donated for the walk-a-thon. We don't know how much money ws given, but do know that Joe and Katy have a lot of people supporting them in so many ways. Randy and Kathy
