Is anyone out there in residency actually saving for retirement yet? We are getting ready to finish residency and are pretty much clueless about how to start...anyone have any experience with this?

For the past few years we have been purchasing Rauth IRA's. I can't tell you much about them other than once you start making to much money you don't qualify for them. Our accountant told us we NEEDED to do this type of IRA because it was really good. I think we will be able to purchase them up until the end of residency. For my husband it is more important to get the kids college funds established before retirement. I'm not very excited about either as you have to have some kind of fundage coming in before you can save!!
