Woah! I actually got to get on the internet twice in one day! We are cancelling our internet service, however, so you guys will only hear from me every week or so (when I go to my mil's house). Anyway, I find inspiration in two activities (ie this is how I burn off steam): I look at houses and I sew. OK, I am a hoarder of pictures of houses: old, new, Spanish, Victorian, brownstone, Colonial, Japanese - you name it, it interests me. I love everything about houses - from their basic structure, to the materials they are made of, to the philosophies behind their designs to their embellshments. I am a fanatic and I can easily loose myself in the subject (I sit in front of HGTV whenever I can which isn't very often!). I sew a lot. Mostly dresses (I just completed two velvet dresses for my daughters - lots of Battenburg lace and stuff - really girly and elegant). I also occasionally do interior decorating stuff for family and friends. (My latest "project" was turning my son's entire bedroom into a mural of an under ocean scene - complete with dolphin, octopus, sea turtle, fish, etc painted on the walls. He wanted it this way after we went to Sea World this last summer. Before that I managed to find time to make drapes for my mother's house.). I LOVE fashion and I enjoy creating things. These two hobbies are actually related. They both involve thinking three dimensionally and both involve creativity and consideration of differences in individual personalities and tastes. Like I said, I easily loose myself in these things - thus they are my inspiration!
