  • The World's worst haircuts!!!!

It is just impossible to get a good kids cut. We've had so many bad experiences and so we finally went to a more expensive place...because school pics are the first week of school....All three were in desperate need and since pictures are coming up, Thomas put his foot down about the kids right for a professional (non-mommy) cut. All of them sat still and had a great time...but these had to be the worst, most expensive kids cuts of all times (I'm not saying I could have done better, but geeeesh!) My daughter looks like she cut her bangs herself..and they are only about 1/2 inch long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    just thought I'd vent!!

    OK Kris,
I just gave Amy $ 125 for a cut, lo-lights & hi-lights!!!!!!!! What is that anyway. This is part of her 18th birthday present!!!!!!!!!
I bet your cuts were better.

$125!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy cow! I just spent $15 on mine yesterday and I am having a friend add some color on the weekend. Total price of around $25! Of course, I am broke and it isn't my birthday. What a fun present, Luanne. Do you want to adopt me for a few weeks?!

Kris, I can relate to the bad haircuts for kids. Did you go to one of those places that caters to children? I went to one of those this summer with the horse the kids can sit on while they get their hair cut or the racing car etc. The older kids played Nintendo. It was more expensive but I thought if it made them happy (I also had coupons!) that it would be worth it. My kids had the worst haircuts and I didn't think boys hair could be ruined that badly. Plus, it took them a good 30 minutes each to cut their hair. I had better luck with Great Clips! For boys anyway... the inexpensive places actually may be better because they do so many kids hair cuts in a day. The place that catered to children (I think) had stylists that were just graduated from beauty school because they were terrible. I can commiserate! I hope their pictures turn out okay. You will probably look at them 20 years from now and go ... remember when they got their hair cut ...

      Good luck! Robin

Ummm a $135 haircut? Good Grief, Lu....I can't imagine spending more than $12 Obviously not a big hairdresser person here! I hate sitting there and trying to think of something to say...and if they screw up or I don't like it trying to smile so they won't feel bad....so I usually cut my own hair!!

Robin, we actually went to a place called Great Clips...with a nautical theme...Is yours the same? I didn't think that it was possible to make a boys cut look bad, but both of my boys look like they cut their hair themselves....and Finny......oh gosh.....!

We got a good cut once...a guy who worked at Mastercuts in the shopping mall in Fl........he gave the kids wonderful stylish cuts anytime we could take them.....so I know that it can be done......

I'm still trying to figure out what hi-lights & low lights are, her hair doesn't look that different to me. Oh well, this was her birthday request. Actuallly, she usually pays for her own haircuts. I usually spend only $30 for my own, and not too regularly.
