    I left the babe with my mom in Ohio on Tuesday. We are returning home Saturday morning for a week long vacation when we will celebrate our Christmas. (Whooo Hoooo!)

    Even though he adores his grandparents and they adore him, I bawled my eyes out for half the plane ride. In comparison, he has only asked for me once and was distracted from my absence by a mere trip to McDonalds! Four whole days, how will I make it?????

    My life is soooo different without him. I got so much done last night! When my dh got home, we went out for a leisurely, romantic dinner. We don't even know how to act!

    In one of my four phone calls to my mom since one o'clock yesterday, she commented, "my house looks like your house!" Hmmm. Mom, what do you really think of my housekeeping?

    I miss him terribly and I realize that my life would be a whole lot less meaningful without him. I will just die when he grows up and leaves home. It is not even fair how fast they grow up.
    <sigh>

    Kelly, What a nice break for you! Enjoy!!!! I bet your mom will have a great time and you will get the recuperation that you need. I know how hard it is having little ones gone though. I have only left my kids twice over night and Jacob is 10 years old! One was when Russ interviewed in Kirksville and I went with him and my kids stayed with my best friend. I called her twice the first day and she told me to quit calling! The whole time we were gone I was wondering what they were doing and/or I was thinking how much fun they would have if they were with me. It is good for us parents to let go a little and good for our kids to get to know their grandparents better. I wish though that my kids wouldn't grow up so fast! I love the ages they are at now!

    Hope that your vacation continues to be great!!!
