    everything everyone has written is great, but they forgot one key thing - bring your own pillow for labor! You don't want to be on one of those nasty plastic hospital pillows on top of everything else. It's great behind your back when you're in labor, for squeezing during contractions, even for propping the baby on for nursing. I did much of my second labor alone (hubby with first child while Grandma got herself on a plane) but had a completely illogical attachment to my pillow that got me through. Just a little extra idea...

      everything everyone has written is great, but they forgot one key thing - bring your own pillow for labor! You don't want to be on one of those nasty plastic hospital pillows on top of everything else.
