    Your husband is a resident
    Mine's just starting out

    If I visit Los Angeles
I'll be sure to give a shout!

    Yeah some Secret Santa love!
A med school spouse? I will hold off the cyber-stalking for now 'cos I guessed too quickly last year when I did that!

Well, we have both lived overseas

      You, where they love licorice

And me, where they love cheese!

        Re: Lamorna

You mean my licorice love is a British thing? Never figured that out before!
Cheese? France? Hmm...that should narrow it down but I can't think of anyone yet.

          Krokantjes or Skoalkrijt

or maybe a salty one like Djungelvral

I guess the Brits may like it

But the Dutch think it's best of ALL!

            Re: Lamorna

Of course the Dutch love cheese! Should have thought of that.
And their salty licorice is good, I had a Dutch friend who always had a tub in her car!
Not so keen on their habit of drinking buttermilk straight up though, yuck!

Djungelvral is the one with salt
Where we lived it was more "kalt"

              Watch for tricky postcards
              Coming in the mail
You will guess it in the end
I'm sure that you can't fail.

I see you have one little boy
And yes! I have one too!
But mine is 6 ft tall and driving -
              his girlfriends' eyes are blue.

He's the baby of my brood (he's not my only one)
We had more than him at home -but how many you'll have to guess
Add on one or two or three
              Sometimes it was a mess!

Well you threw me on all the Dutch talk because I have been searching and don't see you mentioning that you lived there....but....I think you have given yourself away with the last clue.....Birdie? I can't think of anyone else with "grown up" kids other than those in attendinghood!

                  Re: Lamorna

Good Job!!!! But I have to give you my last clue that I was composing while you were posting your guess!

I like it here on the left coast

Where I live it is cool and green

But my husband is in school where it is hot and sunny and there I won't be seen.

We should have bought stock in Southwest

For these few years of visits by plane

After it's done we'll have some fun

He'll have rotations back here in the rain.

That would have surely given it away!!!! - Watch your mailbox!

                    Re: Lamorna

Thanks for writing poetry for me

The long distance must be hard, but at least you have a "base", a "home", that you plan to be long term. We don't know where we will end up but I would prefer where it is cool and green than hot and sunny myself!

I feel bad that I don't know your real name, no worries if you have not used it here but sorry if I missed it.

I didn't realize that I had never used it!

It is Patricia, I'll have to figure out a way to change my signature.

                          Hi Kirsty -

I am glad they made it through the snow. I really do hope you will actually use them and not think they are "special". I use mine everyday. The scrubbies work on vegies or dishes and last forever.
