The list I have gone over for most of the year.
Some names make me happy and with some I cheer!
The bad list is long, the good list is longer,
Kelly's name in bold....let me ponder...
Good?? Bad?? Does it really matter?
Secret Santa needs to go the elves are full of chatter.

My rhyming is poor as is the account.
    With this clue I can't amount........................(to much!)!

    Here is one better....

And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow,
stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so?
It came without ribbons. It came without tags.
It came without packages, boxes or bags.
And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before.
What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store.
What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.
    ~Dr. Seuss

Wow! I'm being wooed by someone who is uber-smart with some rhymes.

Sorry I haven't checked in before now, I was out of the office. I so look forward to getting to know you Santa. Thanks for the love!

Oh, and for the record, I've been pretty good, only a little naughty. You know, naughty in the way that adds a little zest to life.

      A Christmas Poem

Downtown they've put up Christmas lights,
And decked the streets with tinsel bright.

The windows of each store you see
Contain at least one Christmas tree.

      In shopping centers everywhere
      Christmas carols fill the air.

And Santa's broad and merry face
Is seen in almost every place.

From all these signs, one thing is clear...
      ...Thanksgiving Day is drawing near!

        Hiya Santa,

I'm not so bright....Is there a clue in your last post? If so I didn't get it.

You'll probably have to dumb it down for me.

Clues for you? I have only just begun
Be nice to yourself and you may get one.
This Secret Santa stuff is fun and I've done it before.
For this time, that is all the clues, you don't get anymore!

To deliver his gifts in one night, Santa would have to make 822.6 visits
per second, sleighing at 3,000 times the speed of sound. At that speed,
Santa and his reindeer would burst into flame instantaneously.

Don't know how much I will be on here,
              next week with Thanksgiving.
It's hard to work for one day as your living.
My elves are all working and trying their best.
I am taking some Nyquil to get a little rest.
My nose is frozen, my fingers are cold
If I stop to think....damn, I am getting old.
My thoughts are all blown, like snow in the wind,
well...I am off for a snooze, with Nyquil...and gin!

No clues really here, sorry maybe next time.
Then, maybe they all won't end in a rhyme!
I'll post more next time, when I won't be any thinner,
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and a great Thanksgiving day dinner!

You have done this before, you live where it is cold, you're feeling a bit older, and you're not afraid to imbibe in Gin....

Jenn comes to mind, but she lives in warm San Antonio.
Angie comes to mind, but doesn't strike me as a Gin Drinker.
Could be Luanne....although I think she prefers wine.
                Could be Jesher....
                Doesn't sound like Crystal
Could be Bonbon, but I've had her before (love my astrology book)
Could be Kris, but I doubt it
Doesn't sound like Julie or Laura or Becca or Cheri
Probably not JlynnB as I've had her before (Still have my Sven doll sitting on my vanity, btw)
                Could be Flynn or Annie
Or a bunch of others that I haven't mentioned.

Oh yeah, Santa, I'm totally onto you.

Now that Thanksgiving is over and I am all full.
I sit in the rocker and my beard I do pull.
Gifts of all sizes and sorts wander near.
I certainly hope this season doesn't cause us to jeer.
This season is about giving, though getting is nice.
If I could, truly, I would give everything thrice.
This time of year makes me stop and pause,
it is sad, for only a few believe in a Santa Clause.
Sure it is the idea, not the figure of man
but commercialism of the season was never the plan.
I hope and pray (cause that's what I do)
that your gift shows up and happy it makes you.

There are no clues in the poem I weave,
but I promise that later some clues I will leave!

Hope that your day is good!

                      Santa!

I looove my gift! (It is a donation to Heifer.org in my name!)

Maybe there will be peace and goodwill for men. What a thoughtful, wonderful, far reaching gift!

Speaking of men, I'm fairly certain that I know who you are. Thank you so much, Mr. Man-ho!

Well...I was hoping to make it last until December...

I certainly hope that this holiday season, at sometime, you are able to just enjoy the moment- be it when your kids are at their best (or maybe their worst!) with anticipation of Christmas morning, or maybe just a few moments with your husband in peace and quiet. You are truly a person to be admired, even though you would disagree, I am sure, thank you for sharing your honesty and sense of humor with us on this site.
                        Merry Christmas!
