No, I didn't buy one. I borrowed it from my mom's neighbor when I visited last year. They have all the baby equipment.

Are you in the market for a stroller?

      No...
Not even pregnant, but.... dh and I sometimes look at the stuff that's out there. I can actually fit into a MacLaren. They're comfy!

Alison, did you see the ones I posted on the previous page? I beleive the Stokke is foreign, not german but I saw someone with one at a mall a few months ago, it was pretty cool.

I've heard the bugaboo is hard to travel with and a friend that has a MacLaren says its great as long as you don't use it so much that you wear the wheels out. They live in CA and walk EVERYDAY with this stroller, they wore the wheels out and had a TERRIBLE time getting them replaced.

I've got a whole section of bookmarks on my computer for things I want when its finally our turn.

They're interesting looking. An industrial engineer had fun with those!
MacLarens are on the cheaper end aren't they (the one I rode in at Costco was under $200)? I guess I wouldn't bother with replacing the wheels, but get a new one...

I've only used my stroller twice...and my dad ended up pushing around our coats one of those times. I guess things will be different when Daegan is heavier/bigger, but right now I wonder why I spent so much money on it! He rolls out in the wrap.

You'll use it more when he's too heavy to carry everywhere, or when you're afraid he'll wander away and he's safer strapped in. Pushing coats around is a legitimate use, too.

First- no I don't think you can spoil an infant. You can neglect an infant but you can't spoil them.

as for the strollers? They're best used as socially appropriate toddler restraints.

When James was sick with his first cold at three months over Thanksgiving the "he likes to be held" comments ramped up to "better make sure you don't spoil him so early" but when the "you know, spare the rod..." comment was dropped, I informed DH's grandmother (not the ring one) and uncle that we probably won't abuse our children (dripping with sarcasm) and we now know a lot more about babies and there is no way you can spoil a baby by holding them...especially when he is sick. That closed the comments.

You know what you are doing Hang in there!

ETA: I love our MacLaren! You can get them at target and they are sturdy, lightweight, with a shoulder strap. It has gotten us through many airport trips, public transit situations (San Francisco and Chicago), and my last year of grad school...I wheeled that boy all over campus.

When DD was 1.5 days, yes days, old, DW's crazy german grandmother came visit in the hospital. DD started to cry and I picked her up, and the old bat said "don't!!! you'll shpoil her!!!"

DD slept like crap when ILs were here. I probably wasn't as relaxed. She has been sleeping for the past 3.5 hours. Anyhow, MIL brought up the spoiling thing again and I corrected her by saying I was soothing my baby, not spoiling her. She said, "Oh" and shut up for the rest of the visit.
