  • Potty Training: Part Bizillion

This past Saturday, my dd and I were sitting in a chair together talking about all the things she can do by herself, like get dressed, get in the car, etc. I asked her if she wanted to start using the potty by herself. She said yes and that she wanted to wear panties.

Wouldn't you know it, she started to use the potty and has been using it ever since! I still put her in a diaper at night time, but other than that she seems to be done with diapers. She has only had two accidents - one was when I put her in a diaper at nap time and she took off her diaper to put her panties back on, then having and accident. The other accident happened right next to the toilet when she didn't make it on time. Yesterday, I didn't put a diaper on her at nap time and she did just fine. In fact, when she woke up the first thing she said was that she had to go pee pee and she did so on the potty.

I can't believe that it just happened over night. I realize that it hasn't even been a week, but this is the biggest breakthrough we've had on this. Yes!

I don't think so. While my dd is now pooping in the potty, wiping is a whole other story. Yuck! Washing toddler panties it pretty disgusting!
