Has anyone experienced this with their children? My 5mo still has it badly and it's driving me crazy! From searching on the web about it, I'm trying Selsun Blue on his face. (He has cradle cap, too, which the Selsun Blue will help. But the cradle cap has been resolving on its own.) The acne is supposed to go away on its own. He didn't have it when he was born. The acne comes and goes and I can't figure out what triggers it to appear. I read that it could be dietary on my part. I'm breastfeeding. Any advice would be great!

BTW, DH is a peds and he just tells me to be patient.

    Thanks!

My 3 month old gets patches that come and go. DH isn't worried. He hasn't mentioned anything about diet.

I've read that a dairy sensitivity can cause it...but I also read that cutting out dairy can practically 'fix' anything....that the milk proteins aren't broken down enough and can pass to the babe via mom's milk....IF you decide to try to cut out dairy, it can take almost 2 weeks to clear both (your's and the babe's) systems.

I totally agree! I put a thin layer of 1% hydrocortisone this morning on his face. It looks better but it's still there.
