  • Lightweight traveling stroller?

We are about to go on vacation to the big city, and my Ingelsina zippy is too heavy to drag through the airport. In fact, I really dont like it at all so if someone here wants to buy it make me an offer. Back to subject- I would like a lightweight but good quality stroller that can stand air travel and still be easy to push up steep hills and over curbs. I am thinking the Maclaren Volo? Any other suggestions would be great!

I'm still using my Sit N' Stroll which is great because it has triple use as a stroller/car seat/airplane seat. Easy to use, relatively lightweight and if you're flying- gate check it if you want - convert it to the carseat and then turn it back into a stroller at the gate.

Got me and the dude through Russia and points beyond.

I posted a link a while back. It's actually still our second car seat.

I have a McClaren Volo and LOVE it. It's light, airy (good for hot weather, not as good for cold) and I can just about fold and unfold one-handed.

We have the Maclaren Techno XT -- awesome.
I'm not familiar with the Volvo but I'm a big fan of Maclaren products in general.

I have the most basic Combi stroller ($99 at BRU, don't know the model name), and I really like it. It's lightweight, I can fold/unfold with one hand, and it turns on a dime.

We have the Combi Savvy Soho. It's great - folds into umbrella-size, but has a basket/bag at the bottom, has a carrying strap, reclines, and is comfortable for baby. We got it because we traveled to NYC with friends who had one. They checked it on the airline both ways, with no damage to it, and used it all over the city. It was small enough to get through a tight space, but large enough that their DD slept in it for naps.

We've the Maclaren techno XT since DS was 8 weeks old and it has stood the test of time andt travel, its been all over europe and a few trips to Boston with us and not a bother on it 3 years on. fantastic stroller, I think it weighs in or around 13.5 kg, and one hand fold and it lies flat. I've never seen the Volo so can't comment but I'd imagine all the Maclaren strollers are good for travel.
