  • advice or can you point me in the direction where I can...

    get some.

I've just been to the supermarket and was thinking I might start compiling a few bits and pieces each week for the new baby and have noticed that new born Diaper packets have shrunk in size by half (used to contain 54 nappies, now have 26) for the same price!!! so were going down the cloth route!!! or at least combine cloth with disposables.

anyone used cloth? or know where I can pick peoples who have used them brains about them? I looked at a few product websites but totally comfused. all in one, 2 part, 3 part, pre-folds, wraps, inserts.....my head is spinning!

I used cloth for all three kids. Imse-vimse wraps were my favorites, and we used a diaper service rather than washing ourselves.
Also used homemade wipes with tea-tree and eucalyptus oils.

We did chinese prefolds with Bummis covers until daycare....now we use Bum Genius 2.0 one-size pockets.

PM me your address and I'll send along some samples! They were sent to me by Cumberland and I'd love to help share the love!

          Michele thanks a mill I've pm'd you.

I also made homemade wipes for ds as they'd advise against the use of baby wipes in the maternity hospitals and ask you not to even bring them into the hospital and use just plain water and a bit of cotton wool. I advanced onto using a bit of teatree oil a bit later and it was fantastic when he was teething and his bum was a bit red. I must mix a bit of eucalyptus into the mixture this time

OOPS! sorry - typo - I use tea tree oil and lavender oil. About 3-4 drops of each per about 1 liter distilled water.
