  • Poor Ben

    Laura -

We had the same thing happen shortly after we moved here. It was just days before the insurance for dh's job kicked in, and we were loathe to take him to a doc when he's got one for a father! We did the bendryl, and it was 1/2 the size the next day. In our case you could actually see it was an insect bite (once it was at Alfred E Neumann size - we initially assumed it was slept on funny too).

I hope you have the same luck. I'll try to find a picture to post of Jacob's ear. The very same day Quinn took a huge spill on the driveway and literally had an egg sized lump on his forehead. I kept saying to dh "If we had insurance would we be taking them to the hospital?" He insisted we wouldn't, but I'm not so sure.

Here you go Laura. Several views of (what I thought was) the world's biggest ear, the world's biggest head knot, and the parents who clearly have a skewed view of "safety".

Yikes, I hope Ben's ear is better today. It sounds like he's not in any pain, though?

Jenn, those pictures of your boys are hilarious.

That's the biggest ear I've ever seen. Oh my gosh. I hope that Ben feels better today!

I'm glad it helped. My memory may be a little off on how quickly it went down, but it did improve very quickly.

Wow. Looks scary but sounds like it looks worse than it feels?
Hope it gets all better soon!
