We have a ton of Thomas but luckily not the wooden ones. Sounds like it's something in red/orange paint.

I was talking to a mom in DS's class this morning, her older son has played with (and chewed on) many of the Thomas toys on the list for years ... and ended up testing high for lead levels after she noticed some developmental delays.

We have tons of wooden Thomas toys - my son was just having a "train war" with them early this morning after not having played with them for a long time (I guess that's what an 8 year old thinks of doing with them).

It looks like it is just ones purchased since Jan 2005, right? He got his last ones for his 6th birthday in December 2004 - I guess we're okay then.

It seems amazing that the company who makes these let this happen. Although, not any more amazing than children's lunch box vinyl having lead in it. I have a great source for a lunch box with no lead if anyone needs one.
