So yesterday, Andrew got his 7th grade shots and Zoe got hers as well. Aidan was sitting in the double buggy when we did Zoe and...he began sobbing the minute she did. I didn't realize at first that he was crying but when Zoe was all done (she screamed blood murder the second we held her down and then turned so purple that they had to wait a minute between shots to let her "breathe" ..I know...I shouldn't laugh...she's just such a crack up because she stopped crying the second I took her back in my arms and was playing again in less than a minute)...I turned around and Aidan was sobbing...
Big huge alligator tears were rolling down his face and he kept saying "why. Why did they do that. Why did they stick needles in Zoe".
He cried while we went into the waiting room for Andrew to get blood drawn, and continued crying and saying "why, why". The man sitting next to me said "he got his immunizations, huh?"
"Nope...those are sympathy tears..his sister, the one giggling and playing over there is the one who actually got the shots".
He was truly traumatized. He made sure to tell Thomas and Amanda and gave Zoe extra hugs and love when we got home.
Crack. Me. Up.
