  • late arriving baby teeth

Has anyone heard or experienced their baby having teeth come in late and the result of more teeth problems? I heard this somewhere.

Our 9 month old has no teeth so far while our other two both had them at 6 months. Our ped says she has seen the first tooth arrive as late as 16 months.

    Jenn,

Alex's teeth arrived late and....with very little enamel covering them. As a result, he had a lot of dental issues. I don't know if the late teeth had anything to do with it though....He is our only child so far to have had that problem.... but his adult teeth are fine.

Amy had her first tooth at 9 months and Caroline had her first at 4 months. They are now grown with beautiful smiles and no problems.
