We are in the process of picking out names and are trying to do exactly that - pick something where there won't be 10 of them in the same class. I think your Lucy will probably by ok, but there are probably lots younger then her.

If this u/s tomorrow shows a boy I think I'm going to have to buy a name book. I think someone has posted this before but this is what I use for popular names: http://babynamewizard.com/namevoyager/lnv0105.html

Some of my current favorite girl names:

      Abilgail
      Amelia
      Anna
      Annaleise
      Celeste
      Lena
      Rose
      Victoria
      Vivian

I'm sure they won't find their way intto the top 10.

Janet, for a while Hannah was popular so I've had to distinguish that Anna is not Hannah. I like Annaliese.

I think that choosing names is hard enough without factoring popularity into it. We had a couple of Jacks and Alexs in kindergarten and first grade. Bryn would have been Jack had she been a boy. I can't remember if that ended up being a top 10 name or not.

Assuming the additional "l" is a type-o, I think that is definitely my favorite. Classic! All the Abigails I know are interesting, exciting people!

Oh. Just a typo. I love the name, but we can't use it because we have an adored living relative with the name.

The girls name we have picked out starts with an A, has not already been listed and hasn't been in the top 1000 since the 1960's - sadly I don't think I'm going to get to use it.
