  • Junk food night!

Yup, it is junk food night at Planet's house! We're having chicken nuggets (actually TJs orange chicken sans sauce) and ice cream for dinner.

Then I think we'll fy our brains on cartoons.

I think sometimes you just have to do this. Usually I reserve this slack for dh, but it's my turn.

I said, :Go to town. Pick whatever movie you want!"

They picked Wai Lani's Little Yogis. My boys are now doing yoga in the living room.

Oh thank Goodness. It's nuggets and easy mac here tonight with some can of veggies and fruit to round it out.

How did women in the fifties do it?

That and they all lived two blocks from their mothers and sisters. Seriously. My mom and MIL never could have done what we do. They had help, people, lots of it.

We had Thai Chili Linguini with Blackened Bay Scallops and Shrimp. Easier than it sounds!

Yeah, we had grilled cheese and left over breakfast sausage. I want to eat at Heidi's. That sounds delish, want to share the recipe?

I'm sure I could eat at Heidi's house every day and be thrilled!!

Where do they get the energy?? Where??

We've evolved to running in circles in underpants to The Philadelphia Chicken's busy, busy, busy. If I hear it one more time I may scream.

I guess it could be worse. It could be the Hamsterdance.

You'd be very dissappointed a lot of days! We often have leftovers or one of my favs, FFY night (Fend For Yourself). I do like to cook though, and arrangements in trade could be made with anyone - cooking for cleaning.

Yesterday, in fact, we had leftovers. I do not judge the chicken nugget nights of any mother. We all have those nights, even those of us who enjoy cooking.

We had nuggets for lunch. It is downhill from there. It is almost six, Evie is finally sleeping for more than 20 minutes, and the kids are milling about. Oh! She is awake!

The cupboards are bare. Pizza? Leftover noodles and cheese? Blueberries?

We had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

He had a store bought "gel cup" with peaches. I had blueberries.

I had wine, he had kefir.
