DH and I just "sold" our baby stuff we still had left over.

The young PA at the hospital where DH works, his wife is due in October.
They bought our crib, Piggy Back, baby towels, Maclaren stroller, and some odds and ends for 100 dollars because they INSISTED on giving us money.

It was more emotional to part with some of these things than I thought it would be! That stroller was KEY to me not losing my mind the first year!!!!

Sigh. I'm not sure where I'm going with this...just sharing a "moving on" moment!

    Oh Flynn-

I guess the only thing you can do is pour some champagne and toast the next step.

That was sweet of you! It is always nice to get an baby stuff windfall like that.

I've given away most of my maternity clothes and some baby stuff. It's hard. But the crib! I'll probably need some kleenex for that one.

Awww! We gave all of our stuff away after our second child. And then had to get new stuff when we had the boy 7 years later. Of course, hubby had to have the playpen that has a remote control anyway.

DH and I both got a little weepy over the crib!
We talked about funny stories when the kids were small. Fun.

Welcome to the other side, Flynn! That was sweet to practically give it all away. I'm sure the recipients felt like they won the jackpot.

My father says as soon as you get rid of your baby bed, you'll need it again. Mine is disassmbled out in the garage, never to be given away!

                    Congratulations!!!!

The only thing I still have is a handmade wooden highchair that was my mohters when she was a baby. She used it for I think my oldest two sisters. I used it rarely for my girls. It is so old and beautiful. I refinished it and now a stuffed Shrek is sitting in it in my dining room.

I still get teary-eyed, every time I get rid of clothes that my youngest wears. There is no one to hand me down to so they go to Goodwill. She's nearly 7 but is still my baby. Hugs to you.
