    The three kids are running around and around and around our main floor, screaming...



    It's going to be a long weekend!!!!!!!

    Sit down in the middle of the kitchen floor and start eating chocolate ice cream with a spoon, directly from the carton. When they see you and ask why you are doing that and if they can have some, the answer is: "No, sorry. I can't share. I was the only winner of the Quiet Game."

    "BUT MOM...WE DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE QUIET GAME!"

    Then give them a chance to win...and make it a 30-minute minimum requirement!

      Okay, GreyMatter, that is AWESOME!!!! Glad I read this thread, I'll have to remember that!

      I try to get my kids outside for an hour a day, so they can get their energy out. They usually have more left over, but it helps! I rotate between area playgrounds so they don't get bored. and try to think of friends to invite to meet us.

          I'm so gonna use that trick the next time the kids get too loud at my mom's. I don't need it for home since I can just tell my girls to go play in their room. At my mom's we end up with my 9 year old, 7 y/o, 8 y/o nephew, 6 y/o niece, 2 y/o niece and my cousin's 7 y/o daughter. And they will run through my mom's house yelling and screaming.

          We parents just take turns telling them to quiet down. And my mom just loves the noise. Why don't you send your kids to my mom's house. She wouldn't notice any extra kiddos and always has plenty of ice cream in her freezer for all of them.

            This is a fabulous idea! I can't wait to try it out! (on 2nd thought maybe I can )
