  • Over and over again!

Do the rest of you have a book that you have to read over and over again every single night? Want to know which one my DS keeps requesting? Everyone Poops! Yep! That's the one. My dear friend thought it would be clever to give that book to me along with the Diaper Champ at my baby shower way back when. And now, I read it every single night at least once.

Hmmm, DCJenn, maybe you should pick up a copy. Maybe it would be inspirational to your DS when it comes to pooping in the potty. Just a thought.

Little Miss Spider Goes to School was read regularly for about 3 years, until it was left on the floor & DD2 decided to make confetti of it!

To this day I can recite Thomas's ABCs. I'm not surprised that he had a bit of OCD, really. He gets a smattering of it from both sides.

BTW, my daughter loves the "Everybody Poops" book. I'm so proud.

I sing 'wheels on the bus' at least twice a day, if not 3 times.

I hate that flipping song more than anything in life.

"one berry, two berry, pick me a blueberry!"

"one hungry monster underneath my bed, moaning and groaning and begging to be fed. two hungry monsters at my closet door ...."

uh - to answer your questioni: yes.

chug, chug, chug, puff, puff, puff, ding-dong, ding-dong. The little engine rumbled over the tracks. She was a happy little engine for she carried toys for the good little boys and girls on the other side of the mountain....

I have no idea what you're talking about.

OMG, between our three stooges, we've had a real strange range of tastes. Definitely a lot of Sandra Boynton books (Barnyard Dance, Rhinoceros Tap, Dinosaurs good, dinosaurs bad. Dinosaurs happy, dinosaurs sad...)

Right now, Thomas is in huge demand with our son. The girls read for about 10-15 minutes by themselves before bedtime, but DS is at the stage where he like to look at the pictures and make up his own stories to them.

THis super annoying lift the flap book- it has 64 flaps! It's a Thomas one, and not only do I have to answer him exactly the same each night about what's behind every flap, but I have to make the same comments as the first time I read it. (Mommy, is that a door? yes... What's in the door? Coats. big pause. Mommy.... OK OK OK, there are coats, jackets, and boots. It's for rainy weather!)

We have some OCD issues going on here too...

The friggin book takes 20 minutes to "read". So it was hidden a few weeks ago! It will come back when DH is home for storytime. :>

I think we have the same book. Does it have a full two-paged spread of the alphabet with each letter having a train car with stuff under the flaps? I hate that book with the intensity of a thousand suns. (OK, maybe not a thousand...but I keep trying to Freecycle that one.)

Thomas is seriously going to send me over the edge one of these days.

...They're two, they're four, they're six, they're eight. Shunting trucks and hauling freight. Red and green and brown and blue, they're the really useful crew...

OMG- I need to video my husband doing his dance to that particular Thomas Song. (of course, he'd kill me but it would be SO worth it)

We had that book, too. It got "lost" in the move from the cottage to this house. Sad.

Who the hell thought it was a good idea to put all the letters of the alphabet with flaps for every one!!!!!

Like I said, I will bring it out when DH is there for storytime!
